The Nautical Institute is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) with consultative status at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). Our aim is to represent seafarers’ and practical maritime professionals’ views at the highest level.

The Company of Master Mariners of India, Kochi Chapter was formed in November 1994. The Chapter is affiliated to the parent body which is based in Mumbai. The all India membership of The Company of Master Mariners is now over 2500 members. There are Chapters in all major cities and ports around the country.
